Is anyone actually reading this?
I’ve been looking at my Substack stats, and the answer is yes, I think! I know that around two-thirds of subscribers will open today’s email. That is a pretty decent open rate. Especially today on my writing anniversary, as I have some freebies to share.
But actually, I care less about how many of you read these posts and more about whether the emails are beneficial. It is readers’ words of support that keep me going. Such as this message:
“I am in the middle of preparing a scientific publication and am down in the weeds... Then your email arrives, and I see people in color and hear you capture their voices. Bravo!”
Now We See started one year ago with the aim of channelling light towards people like this reader, stuck in the weeds. As an antidote to life-sucking spreadsheets or the hamster-wheel of social-media feeds. As a place to create new things and reveal the stories behind them.
And will I go on?
You decide. I write for you and for the people who don’t yet know this exists. To celebrate one year I am opening up paywalls on my articles so you can share more light to your friends’ inboxes.
Today is the day to share any or all of the links below. Or drop me a line to tell me what you think of this Now We See feed. Or upgrade to become a paid supporter and receive ALL of my weekly articles. Or even unsubscribe – I recognise life is busy and not everyone wants light relief. But please read the articles first before you go!
Thank you for your support and for your eyes on my words and pictures in the last year; you have made this happen.
To celebrate you can enjoy these UNLOCKED articles.
This week, new paid subscribers can also get a free set of pictures. Going forward free subscribers will go back to only one article a month, after a more recent flurry. Thanks for reading.
