Dumyat, Mine Wood (Wild), 2023. Photographed at my house.

After last week’s slew of missent emails (my apologies), we are back to our regular Monday 8 a.m. post.

I want to invite you to an opening. This Fragile Earth is an exhibition of work from the Fleming-Wyfold Art Foundation shown at the University of Stirling. I am not one of the six artists featured in the show, but Dumyat, Mine Wood (Rewild), my largest photo weave, has been chosen by university curators to be on display in the Pathfoot building, so anyone attending the exhibition will get to see it too. I will be there and would love to see any of you who can make it on at the launch on Thursday 26th September from 6pm.

The weave combines a post-industrial forest and rewilded moorland around the University. This is the landscape where I grew up, and I made a film about it here. The piece is a one-off original (28.5” x 38.5”) and is available for purchase. Contact me for more details.
